THE DEEP CORE
The Deep Core is the central region of Core and the entire galaxy, near the middle of which lies the galaxy's supermassive black hole. The strange physics caused
by dense clusters of stars, stellar core fragments, and exotic matter concentrations, create irregularities in spacetime which limits hyperspace travel, and makes
charting safe hyperspace routes increasingly difficult when approaching relative to galactic center. The peripheral regions of the Deep Core were nevertheless
important to galactic history, and have been connected to interstellar civilization since early in the development of hyperspace travel.
