OTHER INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL CONCERNS
There were many large manufacturers and business concerns which were not at any time members of one of the large galactic trade guilds.
This would include smaller trade guilds, state-owned entities of planets, companies which were primarily concerned with producing for their
own planet or species, or any company which valued its independence and was still profitable enough to stay in business. Any company which
marketed their products towards the interstellar market is assumed to have been part of the Corporate Alliance unless specifically known not
to have been, in which case they are listed here. A few of these entities may have been members of the Corporate Alliance, but can be
reasonably assumed not to have been in lieu of canon evidence. Known manufacturers which were not part of the large trade guilds:





Appazanna Engineering Works
Appazanna Engineering Works was a Wookiee vehicle manufacturer based on their homeworld of Kashyyyk. AEW produced aircraft and other
vehicles used on Kashyyyk, and was one of the few starships manufacturers on the planet. Known products of Appazanna Engineering Works:

Baobab Merchant Fleet
The Baobab Merchant Fleet was a historically significant trade organization based in the southeastern Rim, with its headquarters on
the planet Manda. Founded by the notable Baobab family, the BMF was central to the development of trade in this region. As a Rim-based
institution, its efforts were not focused on the needs of the Core. After the rise of the Trade Federation, the BMF remained a significant
regional competitor. After the Empire nationalized the Trade Federation, heavy pressure was put on the BMF by the Empire, which was

Buuper Torsckil Abbey Devices was a starship manufacturer based on the planet Utapau. BTAD was based out of Buuper Torsckil Abbey, one of
the many monastic community based industries on the planet. BTAD was the primary supplier of starships for the Utapauan defense forces.

Caelli-Merced was an underground vehicle and arms manufacturer, based on the planet Socorro. The company was active during the Imperial era,
and their secretly produced products were largely purchased by criminal organizations and illegal military forces, including the Rebel Alliance.

Dornean Braha'ket Fleetworks Conglomerate was a starship manufacturer based on the planet Dornea. DBFC was the primary supplier
of starships for the Dornean Navy, the defense forces for Dornean space. As part of the Rebel Alliance, DBFC was a supplier of ships

Ghost Armaments was a large Umbaran manufacturing concern, specializing in arms, military equipment, and starships. Based on the planet
Umbara, Ghost Armaments was the primary supplier of military equipment for the Umbaran defense forces. Their technology was relatively

Lasan-Malamut Firearms was a Lasat arms manufacturer based on Lasan. LMF built modern versions of traditional Lasat weapons,

Nadiri Dockyards was a starship manufacturing facility located in the Bormea Sector. The Dockyards was established by the New Republic
in 7981 (4 ABY) during the Galactic Civil War to construct warships from cannibalized Imperial vessels. Nadiri Dockyards and their products

Otoh Gunga Bongowerks was a Gungan vehicle manufacturer based in their capital city of Otoh Gunga on their homeworld Naboo.
Also known as Otoh Gunga Bongameken Cooperative, the company produced organic-based craft and other technology utilized
by Gungan civilization, which were not sold off-world. Known products of Otoh Gunga Bongowerks:

Pantoran Weaponsmiths was a Pantoran arms manufacturer based on Pantora, the moon of Orto Plutonia.

The Retail Caucus
The Retail Caucus was a minor trade guild officially franchised by the Senate. The Caucus was a large organization which represented
the collective interests of hundreds of large retail corporations which were independent of the licensed trade guilds. Through its charter,
the Retail Caucus enjoyed the same protections as the larger trade guilds, but primarily served as a financial union rather than a governing
body. The Caucus was a minor but consequential competitor to the Commerce Guilds and the Corporate Alliance, and eventually formed
its own organizational facilities and private security army just as those organizations to protect and further its interests. The Retail Caucus'
headquarters was on Kerkoidia in the Rim, and the organization was prominent on many planets across the galaxy. The Caucus was early
financier of the Separatist Movement, and an original signer of the Separatist Treaty. The majority of the Retail Caucus' resources and
facilities were committed to the Separatist Alliance and subsequently lost during, or as a result of, the Clone Wars. The Retail Caucus
manufactured proprietary battle droids to augment their corporate army. Known products of the Retail Caucus:

Roche Hive Industries
Roche Hive Industries was a droid manufacturing concern based on the Roche asteroids. RHI is said to have been created and run by Verpine,
an insect-like species which has yet to appear in canon, but who are supposed to be masters of engineering. As such, RHI was essentially
a state corporation, as the Verpine are a collective, and thus Roche Hive Industries was commonly known as Roche, the same as its location.
According to legendary material their proper Verpine name was Roche Hive Mechanical Apparatus Design and Construction Activity for
Those Who Need the Hive's Machines. Modeled after the success of other Roche-based Verpine collective companies like Slayn & Korpil,
RHI was created to enter into the interstellar droid market. While the popularity of their products varied, they were amongst the most
successful non-human droid manufacturers. The independence of their society placed RHI outside of the influence of the trade guilds,
which severely effected their ability to compete with droid manufacturers in the Corporate Alliance or Techno Union. RHI's distribution
became largely limited to their local region during the Imperial era. Known products of Roche Hive Industries:

Slayn & Korpil
Slayn & Korpil was a vehicle manufacturing concern based on the Roche asteroids. Slayn & Korpil is said to have been created and run
by Verpine, an insect-like species which has yet to appear in canon, but who are supposed to be masters of engineering. As such, Slayn
& Korpil was essentially a state corporation of one of the colonies on one of the Roche asteroids, as the Verpine are a collective society.
Slayn & Korpil specialized in starships and airspeeders, and was known as a producer of advanced and high-quality vessels. Slayn & Korpil
vehicles were commonly used by state institutions in the later days of the Republic, and they were the primary manufacturer of starfighters
for the Republic in the period leading up to the Clone Wars. The Republic purchased huge numbers of their starfighters during the first two
years of the Clone Wars. After the rise of the Empire, Slayn & Korpil hid their resources to maintain their autonomy. They became a vital,
clandestine manufacturer of advanced starfighters for the Rebel Alliance. Known products of Slayn & Korpil:

Theed Arms was a minor arms manufacturer based in Theed, the capital city of Naboo. Its principal client was the Naboo government.
