The Commerce Guild, or Commerce Guilds, was one of the galactic trade guilds officially franchised by the Senate. The Guild was a conglomerate of powerful commercial
interests and smaller economic guilds. It existed as an organization in one form or another for most of the era of the modern Republic, as it was aggregated some time
before or during the 73rd century (before 700 BBY). As a result, the Guild tended to represent the more entrenched and historically significant interests that grew
important during periods of colonization and expansion. It was eclipsed in prominence by the competing Corporate Alliance during the later days of the Republic.
The Guild exercised some overarching authority over its members, but largely served in a political and regulatory role, pooling the collective resources and influence
of its members to the benefit of all within the conglomerate. The organization was composed of centuries-old galactic industrial guilds, and thus was also referred to
as the Commerce Guilds. Many large interstellar business concerns and corporations were also early members, and overtime adding more large corporations became
their principal method of growth. The Commerce Guild's headquarters was on Felucia, but the organization was also heavily based on Castell, the homeworld of
the Gossams, who were the most prominent species in the Guild. Other worlds known to be affiliated with the Commerce Guild included Saleucami, Minntooine,
and Mooga, which were no doubt amongst many other planets with significant Guild presence, facilities, or members.
The Commerce Guild's leadership was dominated by members of the Gossam race. The Guild was led by Presidente Shu Mai, who became their representative on
the Separatist Council during the Clone Wars. The Commerce Guild was represented in the Separatist Parliament by Amita Fonti. Cat Miin was Shu Mai's aide.
The Guild was a traditional component of the Republic, but one whose prominence had declined somewhat by the time they threw their vast resources into
the Clone Wars on the side of the Separatists. This heavily depleted their resources and influence, and served as a pretext for their dissolution following the war.
Most of the large guilds were absorbed into the Empire, with Guild affiliated corporations becoming independent, or joining the Corporate Sector Authority and
the Imperial era Corporate Alliance. Known members of the Commerce Guild prior to its dissolution:
The Commerce Guild manufactured their own star cruisers for commercial and official purposes:
Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps
The Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps was the military manufacturing component of the Quarren Isolation League, the Quarren political faction loyal
to the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars. The FDVEC existed from 7955 (22 BBY) until 7958 (19 BBY). As a Commerce Guild affiliate, it was provided
resources for its role as a major starship manufacturer for the Separatist Navy. It was formed by engineers and staff from Quarren shipyards on Mon Cala
and its many colony worlds, some of whom were previously affiliated with Mon Calamari Shipyards, whose insignia was used as the basis for the FDVEC
insignia. They were formed and originally based off of their homeworld, but having been forced to abandon Mon Cala early in the conflict, the FDVEC was
based on Quarren colony worlds such as Pammant, where their headquarters was located. Their largest operation was located on the Commerce Guild
planet of Minntooine, where the FDVEC also worked with engineers and developers from the Techno Union and Trade Federation.
The FDVEC were masters of high-pressure underwater engineering, skills which translated well to the construction of mega-scale warships and
heavy military hardware. Known products of the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps:

Mining Guild
The Mining Guild was an ancient organization dating back to the early days of the first Republic and the era of hyperspace travel, over 25,000 years
prior to the SW films and shows. It was a trade guild which dominated the resource extraction industries, uniting the greater share of mining,
gas-harvesting, and mineral processing concerns in the galaxy. The guild inevitably became more unitary and uniform, and began to accrue
significant economic and political influence beyond the scope of even powerful starsystems. Its power increased exponentially under the umbrella
of the Commerce Guild during the millennial reign of the last Republic. It survived the destruction of the Commerce Guild and was integrated into
the fascist economic structure of the Empire, where it occupied the same role as a state-sponsored guild whose leaders held political influence
within the bureaucracy. As the Empire's program of nationalization advanced, the Guild became increasingly indistinct from the state. The Guild
was headquartered on Coruscant, but had franchises, facilities, subsidiaries, and affiliates in every region of the galaxy. One known subsidiary of
the Mining Guild was the Desler Gizh Outworld Mobility Corporation, which manufactured vehicles used in resource exploration.

Other Vehicles and Technology Used by the Mining Guild:
Scrapper Guild
The Scrapper Guild was a franchised galactic trade guild which dominated the fabricated material reclamation industry. Like the Mining Guild,
it was formed as a trade association and accreditation guild, in this case for those involved in scrapping metals and technology from defunct
or destroyed starships, vehicles, and equipment. It was less centralized than the Mining Guild, and was primarily composed of independent
local and regional affiliates. Its importance increased exponentially during the Clone Wars, where gigantic starships and huge ground based
weapons were produced and destroyed in incredible numbers, alongside huge quantities of smaller ships, equipment of all sizes, and battle
droids. This work continually increased over the course of the war, and continued into the days of the Empire, which itself introduced several
waves of upgrades to its fleet resulting in even more decommissioned ships. The Empire's various technology regimes, wars, and replacements
of Republic era technology led to continued prominence of the Scrapper Guild long after the dissolution of the Commerce Guild.
SoroSuub Corporation
The SoroSuub Corporation was a massive mineral processing corporation based on the planet Sullust, which became extremely diversified,
becoming a major producer of a wide variety of technologies and products. SoroSuub Corporation was founded during a period of Core
expansion and colonization of the Rim in the 25th century (around 5500 BBY). The company gradually became so dominant over the economy
of Sullust that over half of the population, nearly all of its workforce, were its employees or laborers. It was understandably run principally
by Sullustans. During the millennial reign of the last Republic, SoroSuub Corporation became increasingly controlled by the Commerce Guild
to the point that it became a subsidiary. After the collapse of the Commerce Guild, SoroSuub continued on as a private corporation under
the Empire, which saw SoroSuub's total monopoly over Sullust as an easy means for orderly control of that system. SoroSuub became
most prominent on the interstellar market due to its production of quality speeders, but was also known for the production of high-end
starships, droids, and information technology. While mostly producing items intended for civilian use, they also manufactured weapons,
as well as vehicles and starcraft which can be used for military purposes. Known products of the SoroSuub Corporation:
