The New Republic | The First Order | The Resistance | The Resistance War

The First Order was an authoritarian interstellar political order which claimed the jurisdictional right of the Galactic Empire to rule the galaxy.
It was formed by hardcore Palpatine loyalists from this reality's Empire, who retreated to the Unknown Regions to rebuild purer
form of the Empire, free from the pretense of participatory governance. It was in fact a military dictatorship, whose only form of
direct governance came in the form of military occupation. Its main territory bridged peripheral areas of the Unknown Regions
to some territory in the known galaxy, apparently largely in the portion of the Outer Rim in the galactic south. Despite claims of
dominating the galaxy during the Resistance War, it is unclear if the First Order ever actually controlled any significant regions.
Apparently, it was suddenly destroyed in DS 8012 (35 ABY), although how this occurred, or was even possible, is not known.

LEADERSHIP
The First Order led by a dictator known as the Supreme Leader. The Supreme Leader administered the First Order through an executive
body known as the Supreme Council. The First Order was a completely fascist organization, where military and administrative leadership
were one, and exercised absolute authority. The Supreme Leader of the First Order was Snoke, from some unknown date until his death
in DS 8011 (34 ABY). He was succeeded by Kylo Ren, who ruled the First Order for the remaining year of its existence.

Supreme Council

The Supreme Council was the executive body of the First Order, which served as both its ministerial leadership and military high command.
It was composed of the highest ranking members of the First Order's military, presided over by an officer with the rank of Allegiant General.
There were at least ten members of the Supreme Council. Known members of the Supreme Council:

Military Leadership
The First Order military was broadly divided into an Army and a Navy, with a semi-independent Starfighter Corps. It was augmented
by a paramilitary state police known as the First Order Security Bureau. The First Order's officers were both military and political,
and thus were heavily stratified in keeping with the social order they promoted. Each stratum of officer wore a different color uniform,
with specific ranks indicated by the presence of sleeve cuff tiles, or lack thereof. The cuff tiles displayed the names of famous Imperial
figures, who were considered inspirations to the First Order as an organization.

DOMAIN
The First Order supposedly had some worlds in the known galaxy under its control, and others lending it their political support, however
this was not observed or discussed. The First Order is only confirmed to have occupied uninhabited planets until the Resistance War,
when it began to occupy worlds with its military. Despite claims of dominating "all the major systems", there is little evidence the First
Order occupied any planets outside of a portion of the Rim in the galactic south. The First Order's capital was The Supremacy,
a one-of-a-kind Mega-class dreadnought which was 13 km long and 60 km wide. It was destroyed in DS 8011 (34 ABY).

FIRST ORDER BASES

As a primarily military organization, the First Order maintained strategic installations in both the Unknown Regions and in known
space. Their largest and most significant base was on Ilum, an otherwise uninhabited world in the Unknown Regions.

Starkiller Base was a massive weapons array and military facility built in an immense artificial trench carved into the planet Ilum.
Station Theta Black was one of a series of stations built to mine valuable resources out of asteroids for military production.

FIRST ORDER NAVY

The First Order Navy was the center of the First Order's power, and was the most powerful fleet in the galaxy, having been illegally
constructed in secret in the Unknown Regions with the aid of many within the New Republic. The FON was based around large
capital ships, which required large crews and also limited their tactical flexibility. Despite their huge and overpowered forces,
the FON was hampered by ineffectual commanders who did not know how to use the powerful resources at their disposal.
This may have been due to the First Order's limited combat experience before the Resistance War. The FON was destroyed in
DS 8012 (35 ABY), when their ships spread around the galaxy all blew up at approximately the same time after being attacked
by small civilian craft or falling victim to unspecified 'uprisings' which somehow caused them to catch fire and crash.

Leadership
The admiralty of the First Order Navy High Command was subordinate to the Supreme Council, and ultimately the Supreme Leader.
Known Officers

Starfleet
The First Order Starfleet was composed of dozens, or perhaps hundreds, of huge capital ships, supplemented by thousands of support
vessels and starfighters. First Order ships were constructed by the same two companies responsible for the Empire's military starships.

Starfighter Corps

The First Order Starfighter Corps was an independently operating branch of the First Order Navy, which maintained its own personnel,
and equipment. Its independence allowed it to better facilitate its planet-based operations in concert with the First Order Army.

FIRST ORDER ARMY

The First Order Army was formed from remnants of the Imperial Army, heavily augmented by a massive, multi-decade program
of conscripting and indoctrinating child soldiers. Its troop strength numbered in the millions. Their troops and officers benefited
from the training offered by a fully-militarized society, however suffered from a general lack of actual combat experience.

Leadership
The general staff of the First Order Army High Command were members of the Supreme Council, who were subordinate to the Supreme
Leader. Army officers in the field led most permanent planet-based Forces, as well as offensive ground operations, and were usually
in command of overall operations, including formations which included units from other branches.

Forces
There were many varieties of First Order troopers with specialized training and equipment. The First Order Army
utilized a variety of combat vehicles, weapons, and droids, much of which was highly advanced.

FIRST ORDER SECURITY BUREAU

The First Order Security Bureau (F.O.S.B.) was a paramilitary state police and intelligence agency which answered to the Supreme Leader
and his Supreme Council. The FOSB acted as the federal and military police with political authority. Known FOSB members:

THE FINAL ORDER

The Final Order was a planned interstellar order led by the Sith Eternal cult based on the planet Exegol in the Unknown Regions. It built its
forces there in secret, before emerging in DS 8012 (35 ABY) to seize control of the galaxy, in concert with the First Order, which had been
essentially a proxy force for the Final Order led by its agent Snoke. It publicly announced its plans for galactic domination to the entire
galaxy days before beginning its assault, leading its enemies to find and destroy it before it was able to execute most of its plans.

The Final Order was the project of the Sith Eternal, a strange cult based on Exegol in a large citadel where they lived underground.
The nature of their society, the source of their resources, and the means by which tens of thousands of giant warships were
constructed underground by them is not known. They desired to resurrect the Sith from extinction, but were all killed when
the stone rafters they were all sitting in conveniently collapsed into the planet.

At some point after the death of Darth Sidious in this reality, the Final Order successfully produced a clone of him, however his body was
constantly falling apart and required artificial means to keep him alive. This unlikely state was apparently caused by the clone body being
inhabited by the evil ghost of Sidious, or something similar, which apparently makes it fall apart or something. Clone Sidious was the only
leader of the Final Order, whose body was killed in DS 8012 (35 ABY). However, the evil ghost which inhabited him told Rey Palpatine,
a Jedi Padawan and the granddaughter of the man he was cloned from, that he would go into her if she killed him, shortly before she did.
As a result, it can be assumed that the evil ghost of Sidious probably still lives on in Rey Palpatine. As George Lucas clearly indicated that
the Sith do not live on in any way after death, the particulars of how Sith ghosts operate are unexplored, and unique to this reality.

The Final Order apparently spent decades building an astronomically huge fleet as large or larger than that of the fallen Galactic Empire.
How this was possible without massive workforces, a galaxy of companies involved in resource extraction, refining, fabrication, and
technological component construction, is not known. These ships were apparently also constructed underground, despite the added
complication to construction. Their ships were mostly decades-old, Imperial models, with slight modifications. Their TIE fighters were
mostly identical to those of the Empire, with pointy wings. Their Xyston-class destroyers were Imperial-class destroyers modified to
fire 'Death Star' canons capable of single-handedly destroying an entire planet. How the insane power requirements for these weapons
could be generated by anything small enough to fit in these ships is not known, nor is how they acquired the incredible fuel which made
this possible. The Final Order fleet was estimated to have been ten-thousand times larger than the First Order's fleet. The fleet was
destroyed in its first battle over Exegol by being overwhelmed by civilian ships of minimal power, lesser numbers of antiquated warships,
and a small collection of starfighters. Their ship commanders apparently had no idea how to use their vastly superior technology in
combat, and the ships were apparently unable to leave Exegol without a beacon for some reason, leading to their unbelievable defeat.
