and his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, arrive on a discreet mission to retrieve an important casualty of war."

Anakin Skywalker and his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, find evidence pointing to a troubling conspiracy between
the local Amani and the Separatists. The surprising involvement of Sugi warriors leads the Jedi to a secret
arms deal. Undaunted by intense pressure to leave the planet at once, the Jedi plan their next move."
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Crystal Crisis [PC 6.03]
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
"Stranded on Utapau! Scouring the sinkhole planet, attempting to stop a dangerous arms deal between
Sugi raiders and General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi learn that the weapon for sale
is a massive kyber crystal, a powerful source of energy which, if in the wrong hands, could be harnessed
into a weapon of unspeakable horror. In an attempt to stop the Separatists from purchasing the crystal,
the two Jedi outsmart and overwhelm their opponents. With the much-sought after jewel now in their
possession, our heroes attempt to escape Utapau."

THE MISSING MONTHS
Timeline of 7958 (19 BBY) after the release of The Clone Wars Season 6.
Timeline of 7958 (19 BBY) after the release of The Clone Wars Season 7.
THE CRYSTAL CRISIS
The Utapau 'Crystal Crisis' storyline contains the episodes 'A Death on Utapau', 'In Search of the Crystal', 'Crystal Crisis', and 'The Big Bang'.
These episodes are most of the way finished but have never been completed. The 'story reel' of these episodes was released in 2014 and
subsequently made available on the Season 6 blue ray release. Two worlds are seen in these episodes:
Obi-Wan and Anakin travel to Utapau to investigate the assassination of Jedi Master Tu-Anh. They proceed to uncover a Separatist operation
related to unusual weapons shipments, which turn out to be large kyber crystals. The subsequent events foreshadow Grievous's activities
on Utapau in Episode III, and hint that the Sith were using Separatist resources to aid the Republic's early work on the Death Star project.
This storyline would have introduced a new canon race, the four-legged Sugi, and includes a sixth lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Grievous,
which would have been about halfway between their prior fight in 'Bound For Rescue' (S5E8) and their final fight on Utapau in Episode III.
THE SEARCHERS
The 'Bounty Hunter' storyline developed during Season 5 but not produced was slated for the final seasons of this series. It was to have contained
four episodes, and was based on the plot of the film The Searchers. Tatooine is the only planet thus far known to be seen in these episodes:
This storyline would bridge some of the gap between Boba Fett's last appearance in 'Bounty' (S4E20), set about a half of a year prior, and his next
appearance in Droids, set 4 years after these events. These episodes would bring Fett and Cad Bane together for the first time, establishing
some of their history, which is alluded to in The Book of Boba Fett, and would introduce Bane's ship, the Justifier, seen in The Bad Batch.
RETURN TO MON CALA
The 'Return to Mon Cala' storyline was slated to appear late in the final season, and would contain four episodes which continued the story
of the Clone Wars on Mon Cala seen in the 'Water Wars' storyline (S4E1-3). Two worlds are known to have been seen in these episodes:
King Lee-Char of the Mon Calamari and Nossor Ri of the Quarren had reestablished unity on Mon Cala in 'Prisoners' (S4E3), set about one year
before these events. In this storyline, Nossor Ri is murdered, and former Senator Tikkes is appointed the provisional leader of the Quarren.
Tikkes is the leader of the Quarren Isolation League, and a member of the Separatist Council, so the planet is once again at risk of falling under
Separatist control. This leads to a political gridlock which once again involves Anakin and Padme. This is a continuity issue unless these episodes
take place near the beginning of Season 6, rather than at the end since Padme would be obviously very pregnant with twins by the end of this
series. Anakin cannot have any extensive in-person contact with her before Episode III, and is not anywhere but the Outer Rim for the second
half of her pregnancy. If Anakin does not visit Coruscant in this storyline, or if this storyline is located chronologically near to 'Sacrifice' (S6E13),
this story is possible within canon. It must take place several months before the first episodes of Season 7. This storyline would have given the first
ever dialogue to Tikkes and longstanding Quarren Senator Tundra Dowmeia, well-known background characters from Episode II and Episode III.
DARK DISCIPLE
The 'Dark Disciple' storyline comprises 8 episodes, which were divided into two, four-episode storylines which probably would have been released
with at least one other storyline in between, possibly as episodes of separate seasons. The first storyline contains the episodes 'Lethal Alliance',
'The Mission', 'Conspirators', and 'Dark Disciple'. The second storyline contains the two-part episode 'Saving Vos', followed by 'Traitor' and
'The Path'. These scripts were the source material for the novelization of these two storylines published in 2015 as Dark Disciple.
The planet Mahranee was to have been seen for the first time. Ten worlds are seen in these episodes:
These episodes as presented in the novel could mostly be canon if produced, however there would have to be a couple alterations, the most
important of which is that Ventress cannot be killed at the end of the storyline, since she is seen to be alive in a The Bad Batch episode which
is set 2 years after these events. Additionally, all instances of Anakin on Coruscant at this point in this year contradict the dialogue and intent of
Episode III. The scene where Anakin is with Padme also contradicts Episode III as well as the obvious logic of the state of her pregnancy.
The novel begins with a Clone Wars narration: "For years, the galaxy-wide conflict known as the Clone Wars has raged. The struggle between
the rightful government of the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems has claimed the lives of untold billions.
The Force-wielding Jedi, for millennia the guardians of peace in the galaxy, have been thwarted at nearly every turn by the Separatists
and their leader, the Sith Lord Count Dooku. With the war showing no signs of ending, and the casualties mounting each day, the Jedi must
consider every possible means of defeating their cunning foe. Whether some means are too unthinkable - and some allies too untrustworthy
- has yet to be revealed..." This storyline has become directly relevant to The Bad Batch, and potentially future Imperial-era material.
The plot of these storylines begin with a Jedi plan to assassinate Count Dooku by sending Quinlan Vos to locate Asajj Ventress with the aim of
earning her trust and eventually convincing her to aid him in this endeavor. Ventress convinces Vos that he must learn aspects of the dark side
if they are to be successful in combat against Dooku, and he spends a period as her student on Dathomir, where he also learns some secrets of
the Nightsisters. They attempt to eliminate Dooku while he is on Raxus, but Dooku defeats them and captures Vos, taking him home to Serenno.
Dooku is able to complete Vos' fall to the dark side using torture and manipulation, while Ventress hatches a plan to rescue Vos with the aid of
some of her past bounty hunting associates. Vos refuses to be rescued, enraged at Ventress after Dooku revealed she once killed his former Jedi
master. Vos becomes Dooku's new apprentice, and spends some time as a Separatist war leader. Eventually, a depressed Ventress is enlisted by
the Jedi Council to join a new rescue attempt. Dooku and Vos stage a senario which lead the Jedi to believe he was an unwilling prisoner, so that
Vos can work as an agent on the inside. Vos is suspected by the Jedi, but still has more credibility than Ventress with them. After Vos leads the Jedi
into Separatist traps, the Jedi get suspicious but choose to test him by sending him with Ventress to Christophsis to once again attempt to kill
Dooku, with Anakin and Obi-Wan as shadows. Seeing that Vos will not kill Dooku, the Jedi arrest them both, but they escape shortly after, with
Vos killing a Jedi in the process. Ventress confronts Vos who is clearly still using the dark side, but insists he is still completing his mission, only now
with the aim of discovering and killing Dooku's Sith master as well. After Ventress is wounded, Vos saves her, and subsequently sacrifices himself
to protect her from Dooku's Force lightning. Vos then reaffirms his Jedi path and refuses to confront Dooku, who escapes. Vos and Ventress can
finally reconcile now that she has helped bring him back from the darkness. In the novel, Ventress dies and Vos is brought back to Coruscant by
Obi-Wan and Anakin. This is not possible in canon, both because Anakin is stuck in the Outer Rim in constant warfare during these middle months
of 7958 (19 BBY), and because Ventress lives on into the Imperial era according to her appearance in The Bad Batch.
SON OF DATHOMIR
The 'Son of Dathomir' storyline contains the episodes 'The Enemy of My Enemy', 'A Tale of Two Apprentices', 'Proxy War', and
'Showdown on Dathomir', and was supposed to bridge Maul's prior appearances with his final appearance in the episodes which
became part of Season 7. The scripts for these episodes became the source material for a four-part series of Dark Horse Comics
titled Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir, published in 2014. Six worlds are seen in these episodes:
Darth Maul's escape from imprisonment in the Spire on Stygeon Prime with the aid of Death Watch loyalists leads to a dark
power struggle between Maul and Mother Talzin verses the Sith and Grievous, and eventually involving the Jedi as well.
The evolution of Maul's Shadow Collective is explored, as is its temporary dissolution at the end of these events. Maul will
reassert his influence over the Pykes and Black Sun by the time of the events in Season 7.
Maul has extensive dealings with Dooku and Grievous in these episodes, and a second direct confrontation with Darth Sidious.
Dooku learns more about his master's intentions regarding his future, and Mother Talzin's story is concluded when she is killed.
LIZARDS OF KASHYYYK
The unfinished Kashyyyk storyline was planned to appear later in Season 6 or in Season 7, which would contain four episodes
about Yoda and the Bad Batch on Kashyyyk to aid the Wookiees against a Trandoshan Separatist incursion. Trandosha or other
worlds in this starsystem may have been seen along with Kashyyyk, as would have been Coruscant in all likelihood:
This storyline was supposed to take place after the 'Bad Batch' storyline, where Echo joins that unit. That storyline was moved to the very end
of this series by the release of Season 7, placing it about a week before Episode III. Unless these events take place during that week, which
seems inconsistent with Episode III, these scripts would probably have to be rewritten to either remove Echo or better place them in
their chronological context. This storyline explored some of George Lucas' unproduced ideas about the Wookiees, including their strong
connection to trees through the Force and their ability to communicate with them, as well as other aspects of their interaction with their
natural world. The events of this storyline are mentioned in The Bad Batch 'Tribe' (S2E6), which also explores aspects of the Wookiee
planet, as well as the Trandoshan interest in invading it, which is also introduced in these episodes.
