"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after
the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travels of a lone gunfighter in the outer
reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic." This series is part of a developing connected story along
with The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, and others, leading to the Heir to the Empire film.

The first seasons were set in the year 7986 (9 ABY), which is 5 years after Episode VI, with coming material set in the same year or possibly the next.

CURRENT INTEL (as of May 2026)
Season 3 premiered on 1 March 2023. The series had been renewed for a 4th season which is supposedly being written and produced, and
after several delays is now likely to be released in 2027. A spinoff film The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled to debut on 22 May 2026.
A second, concluding film to the entire series is reportedly also being written.
